Tubular Taillight Mounts

New from Carolina Custom are these tubular taillight mounts designed for 47-72 Chevy stepside trucks. They provide a clean alternative to the flat stock taillight mounting bracket while also hiding the wiring to the light. Models are available for different years and light positions using either the 47-53 rectangular light or the 54-59 round light. The 47-53 are available with or without license brackets. The mount pads feature a ball milled edge for extra detail. Below are the applications currently available.

1947-1953 Chevy Truck Tail-Light Brackets

47-53 mount with 47-53 light

This bracket will position the light right beside the stake pocket post with the lens being almost even with the rear of the post. Mounting location is at the discretion of the installer, but we recommend the area between rear of the back fender and rear stake pocket post and below floor level. This will hide mounting screws and wiring for the light and place the light right beside the stake pocket post. Brackets are shipped plain as shown ready for fitting, prep, and paint. Kits include brackets for both sides, stainless mounting screws, washers, and cap nuts for brackets and lights. License plate brackets can not be used with these brackets. The lights are not included in the price.

This bracket will position the rear of the light slightly away from the rear face of the pocket post right beside lower tailgate. The mounting location should be right below floor level and right next to the front of the rear stake pocket post. In this position, part of the license plate will be a little below the top of the bumper. Brackets are shipped plain as shown ready for fitting, prep, and paint. Kits include brackets for both sides, stainless mounting screws, washers, and cap nuts for brackets and lights. The lights are not included in the price.

This bracket will position the light right beside the stake pocket post with the lens being almost even with the rear of the post. 55-72 mount with 54-59 round light

This bracket will position the light right beside the stake pocket post with the lens being almost even with tailgate. Mount should be placed toward the bottom of the stake pocket between the rear of the back fender and stake pocket. This will place the light lens about even with the rear face of the tailgate. Brackets are shipped plain as shown ready for fitting, prep, and paint. Kits include brackets for both sides, stainless mounting screws, washers, and cap nuts for brackets and lights. For those 47-53 Chevy truck owners who don't care to utilize the factory park light-turn signal light and haven't come up with an alternative, this set of lights may be for you. These trucks do not provide many options for a clean light installation and this kit from Carolina Custom does just that. The amber LED park and turn signal light and bracket install easily in the factory light holes in the grill, providing a no hassle installation. When installed, the light is recessed back in the grill out of sight providing that clean open grill look as if no light is there. Brackets are shipped plain as shown ready for fitting, prep, and paint. Kits include brackets for both sides, black stainless mounting screws for brackets and lights.
